Fans react as Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood grab a goal each for Man United vs Everton

Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood were on target as Manchester United crushed Everton 4-0 in their final pre-season friendly game before the Premier League opener.

Greenwood latched onto a defensive mix-up between Lucas Digne and Jordan Pickford to give the Red Devils a 1-0 lead within 8 minutes. Luke Shaw then assisted Harry Maguire’s header from a corner kick eight minutes later.

The best goal of the match came just a minute before the 30th-minute mark when Bruno Fernandes slotted home a perfect free-kick from just outside the box. As expected, there were a number of substitutions made to distribute game-time amongst every player.

Andreas Pereira, Juan Mata, James Garner, and Diogo Dalot all came on to get some valuable playing time. In fact, the Portuguese full-back got himself a goal in the dying embers of the game, much to the delight of the United faithful.

Big win for MUFC vs Everton

This 4-0 win concludes a long and productive pre-season for the club. They started their list of fixtures with a win against Derby County before losing 4-2 to QPR.

A 2-2 draw vs Brentford followed before their friendly against Preston North End was abandoned. The win against the Toffees comes at a good time to lift up the spirits and the team would now be raring to go for the opener against Leeds United.
