Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood involved in an altercation in training
According to The Times, Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes was involved in a heated dressing down of teenage prospect Mason Greenwood in training prior to the Everton game this weekend.
Following the defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir in midweek and before the Everton game at the weekend, the Red Devils had just the solitary training session on Friday.
And, it is being claimed that during a mini-match, Fernandes lashed out at Greenwood for his lack of desire during training, after the youngster failed to chase down a ball. (h/t The Times)
The club has since claimed that no argument or altercation took place, but it is being reported that there is an increasing concern within the backroom staff over Greenwood’s lack of application in training sessions. (h/t The Times)
The young forward burst onto the scenes last season and enjoyed a spectacular campaign. However, off-field issues have somewhat cast him in a bad light this term.
Greenwood was involved in an unsavoury incident while with the England national team, which resulted in him being axed from the squad.
An alternate report from The Athletic has also claimed that his sleep schedule has become a bit of a problem for the club as well.

There is no denying that Greenwood is an exceptional talent. However, these recent reports of his poor attitude and lack of application in training does raise a bit of an alarm.
We’ve all seen how things went down for another supremely gifted Manchester United academy product in Ravel Morrison in the past. Hopefully, Greenwood doesn’t let all the limelight get to his head.
