Manchester United will pursue Haaland and Kane next season
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United have plans to sign Erling Haaland and Harry Kane next season. Both strikers could leave their current clubs and United boss Solskjaer remains interested. However, any plans United have to sign them are for next season.
The 27-year-old Kane has been a consistent performer for Spurs as well as England over the years, racking up goals and assists at a rapid rate. Kane has apparently spoken about his desire to join a club that can contend for major trophies. Last season, he managed to pick up both awards for the highest goalscorer and assist provider, highlighting his tremendous abilities.
Erling Haaland is another name that probably needs no introduction. The Norwegian is arguably the hottest prospect in the world right now and has impressed heavily at Borussia Dortmund. He produced a whopping tally of 41 goals and 12 assists in all competitions last season.
Nonetheless, United will not go after either striker this season. The club have a number of strikers at their disposal like Cavani, Martial and Greenwood. United also have the promising Joe Hugill to call upon. However, with Cavani set to turn 35 this season, plans are being laid out to splurge on Haaland or Kane next season.
United are not the only ones after the duo as Man City have shown interest in Kane while Chelsea are after Haaland. However, neither club is likely to get them this season, meaning United will compete with both clubs for the signings next season.

The club are right to push their plans to sign a striker for next season. United don’t really need a new striker right now but they will do so in a year’s time. Hence, pursuing either Haaland or Kane then makes a whole lot more sense.
