Bruno Fernandes cuts short holiday to train with former club Boavista
According to news from Metro, Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has cut short his holiday to train with former club Boavista. The midfield ace has started work on his fitness ahead of schedule and also passed on good luck to his former side.
The 26-year-old on his day is one of the world’s best and can flip a game on its head. Fernandes played 70 games over the course of the 2020/21 campaign and a staggering 83 during the calendar year. Given the intensity he plays at, it’s not surprising to see that he looks worn out.
It reflected in his disappointing campaign with Portugal in the Euros. He failed to score or assist even once as Portugal crashed out in the round of 16. Post that, he went off on a holiday and was scheduled to return after three weeks.
However, it would seem that one cannot keep Fernandes away from the game for too long. Despite still having a few more days off, he chose to return to training with his former side Boavista. He wants to get back in shape before rejoining United. Fernandes also wished the club his best for the coming season.

It’s somewhat understandable that Fernandes would want a return to action soon. The Euros were a huge disappointment for him and he would want to put all that behind. However, it is unclear as to when he will link up with United for their friendlies.
