Transfer News: Jesse Lingard set for Manchester United exit
According to transfer news from Mirror, Jesse Lingard is all set for an exit from Manchester United. However, it will cost the suitors a good £30m to sign the English star, who spent the last season on loan at West Ham. The Hammers are said to be keen on a permanent deal.
After falling down the pecking order at Man United, Lingard sought a way out of the club. He moved across to London on loan to West Ham. Even the most ardent fans would not have expected the impact he had at the club in just five months.
The 28-year-old enjoyed an excellent loan spell with the London side last season. He averaged close to a goal contribution per game and took them to the verge of Champions League qualification. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Now, back at United, Lingard’s future is again the subject of discussion. The positions he plays in are still occupied and more additions could take place. West Ham are keen on a permanent deal for Lingard but they will have to shell out a relatively high fee of £30m if they want the England international back.

Despite missing out on the call-up to the Euros, his stock remains high and we could fetch a reasonable fee for him this summer. United could do with some cash in-flow from a player who isn’t much of a necessity. Those incoming funds could then be used for further signings.
