Team News: Manchester United welcome back three stars in training

According to team news from MEN, Manchester United have welcomed back three players for training. Juan Mata, Andreas Pereira and Aaron Wan-Bissaka returned to pre-season training ahead of United’s first warm-up game against Derby County next week.

Manchester United have started work on the preparations for next season. After a mixed season last time around, United are not moping about that anymore. Pre-season fixtures have been laid out and training has already started.

However, a lot of the players who were and are on international duty are yet to return. That means Solskjaer will have a handful of first-team stars to call upon when United face Derby next Sunday. A lot of players have returned from loans and several others have been called up from the academy as well.

There were three players that United welcomed back to training (h/t MEN). Andreas Pereira was on loan at Lazio last season but could feature in some of the games. Juan Mata is fresh off his new contract and will be among some of the more experienced players at Solskjaer’s disposal. Lastly, Wan-Bissaka also returned from his holiday and took part in the training sessions.

This pre-season will allow Solskjaer to get a better idea of his squad or the fringe players to be exact. The game against Derby will likely give them chances to stake a claim to remain in the side. On the other hand, academy players will hope to impress and push for a spot in the first-team.
