Transfer News: Manchester United circling for Thierry Small
According to transfer news from Liverpool Echo, Manchester United are keeping tabs on Thierry Small. The Everton starlet is yet to sign his first professional contract with the club. He will only be able to do so next month when he turns 17. However, United and Arsenal could snap him up if he chooses not to.
Just 16 years of age, Small became the youngest Everton player when he appeared in the FA Cup win against Sheffield Wednesday in January. Since then, a host of clubs have kept their eyes on the youngster.
Small is still a month away from being able to sign his fir professional deal with any club. Everton are still hoping that they can get him to put pen on paper to that. In the meanwhile, Manchester United along with Arsenal have kept their eyes on the talented young left-back (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The Everton starlet does look like a player with good potential but United already have two standout players in his position. Luke Shaw is arguably one of the best in the league and Alex Telles is an able deputy capable of becoming a regular.

If United are going for him with the view to push him into the academy, then it makes sense. He is due to turn 17 next month and it would hardly be logical to add him to the first team. Nonetheless, this will be one to watch over the next month as Small will pick who he wants to sign his first professional contract for.
