Transfer News: Manchester United will not pursue swap deal for Harry Kane
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United will not be pursuing a swap deal for Harry Kane. The club have other priorities such as Raphael Varane, Eduardo Camavinga and Declan Rice, and they will go after them.
The 27-year-old Kane has been a consistent performer for Spurs over the years, racking up goals and assists. However, his individual brilliance has failed to land him a single major trophy so far at North London.
With the North Londoners set for another rebuild, Kane does not appear to be willing to spend his prime waiting for a turnaround. Due to the same, Kane has been linked to United after expressing his desire to leave Tottenham at the end of the season.
It was earlier claimed that Kane would cost £100million plus two first-team stars from Manchester United. However, it seems that will not be the case as Manchester United will not go ahead with a swap deal for Kane (h/t Express). United want to prioritise signing a defender and midfielder. They have lined up the likes of Varane, Camavinga and Rice for that.

It is understandable if United do not go after Kane this summer. It has all the makings of a drawn-out transfer saga. With Cavani there for another year and Martial returning from injury, United can focus their funds on other areas of the squad.
