Manchester United ready to begin negotiations over Eduardo Camavinga

According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United are ready to begin negotiations for Eduardo Camavinga. Rennes could be open to a bid of around £30m as he is in the last year of this deal. He is seen as the ideal signing for United at this point.

Signing his first professional contract in 2018, Camavinga became the youngest player ever to do so with Rennes. He made his debut for the first team in April 2019 against Angers and scored his first goal for the club against Lyon in December 2019. So far, Camavinga has made 82 appearances for Rennes, scoring twice and assisting five in the process (h/t Transfermarkt).

Camavinga is one of the best young talents in Europe

A natural central midfielder, he can also be used deeper in a defensive role. He also made his bow for France last year but was unlucky to miss out on a spot for the Euros. No wonder he is a target for top European sides such as Manchester United.

Now, Rennes are in a real pickle with their young star. His current deal runs out within a year. That means he will be free to talk to other clubs next season. As claimed by reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, United are now ready to begin negotiations for Camavinga. The £30m-rated midfielder is seen as the ideal signing for the club.

Camavinga’s signing can be a shot in the arm for United. The club struggled to keep up the high energy levels through the season and another midfielder can be a welcome addition. He can be a great long-term asset to the side if United can push through on their efforts.
