PSG make an offer for Manchester United target Eduardo Camavinga
According to The Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain are keen to trump Manchester United to French wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga this summer.
The 18-year-old is one of the continent’s premier talents and could be on the move this summer. Camavinga has just a year to go on his current deal at Rennes and the French side are afraid of losing him for free next year.
While the likes of United and PSG have been linked with the youngster, the latter is keen to sway Rennes their way. The French giants are keen to offload Thilo Kehrer and have offered him to Rennes in part exchange for Camavinga.
The French giants are yet to make a bid for Camavinga. However, they are keen to get in Rennes’ good books before attempting to poach their star man.
According to the report, Rennes has rejected the offer from PSG. It presents a confusing conundrum given that it also mentions that a deal is yet to be made. It is possible that the French side are not keen on the PSG star and an improved offer now needs to be made.
Untied too were hopeful of landing the player on the cheap. However, Rennes are in no mood to accept a bargain-basement price of £25.7m for their star kid. Despite holding a weak hand in negotiations, the Ligue 1 side are unwilling to be taken for a ride.
Rennes boss Bruno Genesio admits a decision must be reached regarding Camavinga sooner than later.
