Premier League clash between Manchester United and West Ham United delayed by 24 hours
According to the club’s official site, Manchester United and West Ham United will face off against each other on September 19 at the London Stadium.
Both clubs were supposed to play the Premier League game a day earlier on the 18th. However, it has now been rescheduled for television purposes. The match will kick off at 14:00 BST on Sunday, 19th September and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
Managed by former United boss David Moyes, the Hammers finished sixth last season and will compete in Europe in the upcoming season.
The Red Devils came from behind to beat the Hammers in the corresponding fixture last season. Tomas Soucek gave West Ham the lead before Paul Pogba got United level with a screamer. Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford then put the game beyond doubt with goals of their own.
The game against West Ham is sandwiched between the visits of Newcastle United and Aston Villa to Old Trafford. The former will take place on 11th September while the latter is scheduled for 25th September. United should realistically be able to garner nine points across these three games.
Having finished second in the Premier League last season, United will look to go one better this time around. Having already landed Jadon Sancho, their summer business has gotten off to an excellent start.
The Red Devils kick off their 2021/22 season by welcoming arch-rivals Leeds United to the Theatre of Dreams. With fans set to return, it promises to be an electric atmosphere on the opening night.

It has now been eight years since United last won the Premier League title. With the squad he has, Solskjaer will be expected to push Manchester City all the way to the end. Anything short of that will be seen as a failure.
