PSG eyeing a move for Manchester United star Paul Pogba
According to The Express, Paris Saint-Germain are keen to make a move for Manchester United star Paul Pogba this summer.
The French giants are coming off a disappointing season that saw them relinquish the Ligue 1 title. Having already signed Georginio Wijnaldum on a free, they are keen to bring in Pogba to partner him in the new-look midfield.
PSG have been linked with Pogba for a while now. They could however be ready to make a move for the 28-year-old this summer. Mino Raiola shares a good relationship with PSG sporting director Leonardo, perhaps smoothening their efforts in landing Pogba.
Pogba faces a pivotal summer and will need to make a decision on his future. He has a little over a year to go on his current deal and could potentially leave on a free transfer next year.
Currently, with the France squad, Pogba looks to be at the top of his game at the Euros. He starred in the World Champions’ opener against Germany, putting in a man of the match performance. Having played a key role in their World Cup triumph in 2018, he could etch his name into football folklore once again.
Maintaining the same level of performances could see PSG ramp up their efforts to land the man.
A gamechanger
Despite making a slow start to the season, Pogba burst into life in the new year. He played a pivotal role in our title charge and scored a key goal against AC Milan in the runup to the final. There is little doubt that he is an invaluable member of the United squad when in form.
According to the report, Raiola could be set to play a huge role in where Pogba ends up. The 53-year-old pocketed around £41million in agent fees from Pogba’s return to United back in 2016. He could be set for another lucrative payday this summer.

Pogba could serve a timely reminder of his devastating abilities with a good showing at the Euros. While that could raise the demand for the player, what it means for United remains to be seen. It would be prudent for us to cash in this summer if he has no intention of signing a new contract.
With or without Pogba, the club will need to plan for the future.
