Marcus Rashford pays tribute to Manchester United fan Alex Dragomir
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has paid tribute to football Youtuber Alex Dragomir, who passed away aged just 17.
Also known as Sir Kipsta, the teenager tragically passed away following a seven-hour operation. A United fan, the YouTuber’s sister broke the heartbreaking news via his Twitter account on Friday morning.
Just a week before the tragedy, Alex shared a picture of himself with Marcus Rashford’s book- ‘You are a champion’. He accompanied it with a caption claiming to be the oldest kid to have purchased the book.
It is heartening to see that he did not lose his sense of humour even towards the end. Rashford too took to Twitter today to express his condolences for Alex’s passing. He praised the 17-year-old for fighting until the end and hoped that his book brought him some respite.
Alex began his platform to share his reaction to Manchester United matches and later switched to posting videos about his time in hospital. He built up a loyal following on Twitter with 19.7k followers.
He tweeted just hours before his death, thanking everyone for what they have done for him. His family had also set up a GoFundMe account when Alex suffered heart failure.
A large number of fans from different clubs have expressed their sorrow at the youngster’s demise and have taken to social media to express their condolences.
