Fans react as Manchester United play out 1-1 draw vs Fulham in the final home game of the season
Manchester United fans were back in attendance at Old Trafford after what seemed like an eternity but were let down by the team in the final home Premier League game against Fulham.
Things began on the right note, as Edinson Cavani, playing in front of the Red Devils’ faithful for the first time, opened the scoring with a stunning strike from distance.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men weren’t able to build on that and allowed Fulham to grow into the game bit by bit. Even though there were a few chances on either side of half-time, Manchester United failed to take them.
And this came back to haunt the team as Joe Bryan headed in from a Bobby Decordova-Reid’s inch-perfect cross to make it 1-1 for Fulham. United pushed in search of an equaliser, but one wasn’t forthcoming as we ended up sharing the spoils with the Cottagers.
It was another sub-par display even though there were a few moments of quality. And fans were hardly pleased by the team, with some even leaving the stadium well before the final whistle was blown.
Reactions on social media weren’t positive either and here we pick out some of the messages from the Manchester United fans after the draw against Fulham.

We literally have lost the confidence of saying that we gonna beat the bottom half teams before any match. That’s saddening and we definitely need some signings, it is getting evident by each passing game 🤦🏻♂️#MUNFUL #PremierLeague
