Harry Kane to urge Tottenham to consider Manchester United offer
According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane could ask the North Londoners to not dismiss overtures from Manchester United for his signature.
The English skipper is one of the most prolific strikers of the age and has been the bonafide star at Spurs for a few years. However, individual plaudits have failed to transform into trophies.
Kane is yet to win a major honour in his career and at 27, he is running out of time. Currently, in his prime, the striker could prove to be the trump card for teams that are in a position to challenge.
That list does not include Tottenham who looks set for yet another summer of a rebuild. If anything last night’s loss to Leeds United showcased just how far they are off the top.
With Champions League football looking difficult to achieve, Kane may well decide his future lies elsewhere. While it does not appear that he will demand a move, he remains hopeful that Daniel Levy will at least consider the offers made for him.
Kane still has three years to go on his current deal and Tottenham are aware they hold the high ground when it comes to negotiations. According to the report, they believe the player can stay put for another year before leaving in 2022 if things do not improve.
The grass is greener on the other side!
It is no secret that United are in the market for a striker. The Red Devils are keen to make a massive £90m bid for the player, despite Levy’s reluctance to sell to a domestic rival.
The Tottenham chairman values his ace striker at an incredible £175m. However, he is aware that the chances of him landing anything close to it in the current scenario are unfeasible.
Tottenham neither have a full-time manager nor do look like a side that has a plan. Whether they will eventually give in and consider United’s offer remains to be seen.

A prolific scorer, Kane has been both patient and loyal to Tottenham, who have fallen short despite their solid squad. With a new manager set to be appointed in the summer, they could yet start another rebuild even before the last one got anywhere.
