Transfer News: Manchester United may sell four players next season

According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could sell up to four players in the summer. The club could allow these four stars to leave in a bid to raise funds to aid new arrivals.

Manchester United have enjoyed a very upbeat season so far. They are close to cementing the second spot in the Premier League and are into the finals of the Europa League. With all dues respect to Villarreal, Manchester United are downright favourites to win the trophy.

Erling Haaland has been prolific at Borussia Dortmund

While the squad is in decent shape, it could use some new faces. Players like Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, Declan Rice and Raphael Varane are all being linked with moves. However, that would mean selling off some players to raise funds and Solskjaer has four names in mind.

The first is that of David De Gea who has fallen down the pecking order to become the second choice. United are not keen on paying such exorbitant wages for a player to warm the benches.

Secondly, they might sell Axel Tuanzebe after the renewal of Eric Bailly and the possible arrival of another defender.

The next name is that of Donny van de Beek, who has struggled to fit into the side since his arrival. Dortmund have shown interest in him and he could be used to land one of their players. Lastly, there is Alex Telles, who has been second-choice because of Shaw’s form.
