According to Italian publication Tutto Juve (h/t Sport Witness), Manchester United are set to reignite their interest in Juventus star Alex Sandro.

The Red Devils have been after the player for some time, especially during Jose Mourinho’s reign at Old Trafford. The Brazilian international has been at Juventus for six years now.

Juventus are willing to sell him in the summer and have slapped a €25m asking price on him. The report, however, states that the Old Lady will be happy with an offer of €20m.

The Red Devils are not the only ones in the fray for the Brazilian. French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on his progress at the Allianz Stadium.

According to Calcio Mercato (h/t Sport Witness), Juventus are keen to bring in a new left-back and have identified Alex Telles as a potential replacement for Sando.

The 28-year-old signed for United only last summer and has since made 24 appearances, scoring twice and assisting six times. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Telles has impressed when given the opportunity. However, Luke Shaw’s improved form has seen him hold onto the starting spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s favoured XI.

A deal that could be a direct exchange remains a possibility. Chelsea hopes to do just that by offering another left-back Emerson Palmieri to secure Sandro’s services.

Whether United will do the same with Telles remains to be seen.

Sandro is the more accomplished player of the two, but it would appear that age is catching up with him. There has been a significant drop off in his performances this season.

United will be well off keeping hold of Telles. The Brazilian isn’t just younger but is also a dependable performer when called upon. Sandro’s star is on the wane while Telles clearly has some left in his locker.
