Manchester United fans to be allowed to attend Europa League final
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United fans will be in attendance if the club makes it to the Europa League final.
UEFA has announced that up to 9500 supporters will be able to attend this season’s Europa League final in Gdansk, Poland. This comes as excellent news for the Red Devils, who already have one foot in the showpiece event.
United battered AS Roma 6-2 in the first leg of the semifinal at Old Trafford. With the return fixture set to be played this week, we could very well make it to our first cup final under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
UEFA have confirmed that Polish authorities have given the green light for a limited number of fans to attend the final. This will see 25% of Stadion Miekski filled.
Of the 9500 seats made available, 6000 have been allocated for supporters. However, only 2000 will be given to each team, with the rest being put on general sale.
The tickets are priced in four different categories. The cheapest comes in at €40 and goes up to €130 on the other spectrum. They are on sale until Friday, May 7.
Fans can apply for tickets on UEFA.com and will be placed in a ballot to see who will be dealt the lucky hand. It will not be sold on a first come first serve basis.
UEFA have also confirmed that they will reimburse the full price of the ticket to successful buyers should a reduction to the stadium capacity be announced at a later date.
