Manchester United boss Solskjaer opens up on what Pogba revealed about Jose Mourinho
According to a video uploaded by Football Daily on Twitter, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has responded to what Paul Pogba revealed about Jose Mourinho.
The French midfielder admitted recently that the Norwegian is a less volatile man-manager in comparison to the former Red Devils boss.
While Solskjaer was diplomatic, and dare we say fair, in claiming that he cannot comment on how things were at the club when he wasn’t in charge, he went on to add that he has had no issues with Pogba during his tenure.
The same cannot be said of Mourinho and the 28-year-old midfielder. While the duo shared a cordial relationship in their first season, it soon turned sour.
It reached a tipping point in 2018 when Pogba was chastised in training by Mourinho. The Frenchman was also stripped of his vice-captaincy.
While we may never know the exact reason for the events, Solskjaer is someone who spent years at the club as a player. He is well acquainted with the United way and is keen to implement Sir Alex Ferguson’s vision of the club.
“I have worked here, I have played here, I have seen what a team together can achieve”
A family that has your back!
The Scot was a tough taskmaster but also helped foster a feeling of togetherness and brotherhood among the staff and players.
“Being a family is one of the big things about being at a football club, since Sir Alex was here you felt like you had your brothers here.”
The United boss has strived to bring about a mentality where there is both trust and competition. There is no shortcut to success and as long as they wear that red shirt, they are all in it together.

Mourinho’s ideas are the rage when they work. However, the Portuguese tactician has failed to keep up with the times. He is a gloomy version of the once-great coach he was and seems to court controversy wherever he goes.
Solskjaer’s pedigree as a coach may not yet be anywhere close to that of the Tottenham Hotspur manager. However, his approach appears to be yielding fruit where Mourinho has only encountered a barren wasteland.
