Transfer News: Manchester United want £17m for Eric Bailly with Inter Milan interested

According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United have set a low transfer valuation for Eric Bailly. Inter Milan are said to be after the player again as United will likely demand a modest £17million for the Ivorian defender.

Eric Bailly came with a lot of promise and even showed glimpses of it. However, the fact that he played his 100th game earlier last month should tell you how it has panned out in the last 5 seasons. The Ivorian’s spell has been riddled with injuries and he hasn’t featured on a regular basis.

It has been frustrating in the sense that Bailly is probably United’s best defender to partner Maguire given their styles complement each other. However, he has barely had a run of games in the side, meaning Victor Lindelof is the second choice.

United are said to be open to an exit for the player and have put a price tag of £17m. Inter Milan have shown the most interest in signing and even though the valuation is low, they could try to reduce it further due to their financial condition.

More Manchester United News:

With United all but sure of going after a central defender next season, Bailly’s days at the club could be numbered. He would fall further down the pecking order and not even get the game time he gets how.

In case Bailly does move to Inter, he will be the fourth United player to do so after Lukaku, Sanchez and Young.
