Manchester United star Dean Henderson compares ‘prolific’ Mason Greenwood to Harry Kane

Speaking on the UMM Youtube channel, Manchester United star Dean Henderson made a surprising admission regarding teammate Mason Greenwood.

It is no secret to United fans that the youngster is considered to be the best finisher at the club. Henderson here drove home the point again, backing up Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s claim for the same.

Henderson went one step further and compared the 19-year-old to England skipper Harry Kane.

“Both feet as well. He’s up there with Harry Kane you know. Kane is the best finisher I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Capable of scoring on either foot, Greenwood is a complete player who could go a long way in his career. To be compared to someone like Kane at such a young age is a testament to his ability and the opinion his teammates have of him.

Greenwood enjoyed an excellent breakout season last year. He scored 17 goals in all competitions as United made it to the semifinals of three major trophies.

The youngster has however struggled to make the same impact this season. He has so far scored five goals and assists apiece in 39 games this season.

In Greenwood, United could very well have an in-house solution to their striking woes. Bringing in a right-winger in the summer could help move Greenwood into a more central role.

If he turns out to be anything close to Kane, the Red Devils will have a real player on their hands.

As things stand Greenwood still is developing as a player and is some way off his prime. Despite a disappointing season, he has enough reasons to be optimistic going forward.

At 19, Kane was not seen as an upcoming superstar and was looking to make his name on loan in the lower leagues. Greenwood is already further ahead in his development and could even outdo the England skipper in the years to come.
