Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals how Erling Haaland impressed him at Molde
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed how Erling Haaland impressed him during training sessions when they were at Molde (h/t Metro). He spoke about how the striker almost bullied his Molde peers during training.
Within two seasons, Haaland has become a sensation and one of the most coveted strikers in Europe. A whole host of clubs are after the Norwegian and he could finally make the move next season.
However, Solskjaer has special ties with the player and spoke about how he had no doubts about Haaland’s talents.
‘Yeah. You can see the personality. He came as a 16-year-old, of course you never know with injuries, he struggled really badly with bad knees when he came. But I could see someone with a personality.
‘I remember him brushing off and putting our centre-back and centre midfielders, two big, massive lads, he put them on the floor and asked them to get up. He’s a winner. ‘He’s got a great personality, of course. He’s proving everyone how good a player he is.’
Erling Haaland is a name that has done the rounds for us given we tried to sign him from RB Salzburg in January 2020. He decided to join Borussia Dortmund in the end and the 20-year old has been ridiculously prolific since joining the German club over a year ago.
