Transfer News: Manchester United will have to pay £30m for Max Aarons
According to news from The Sunday Telegraph (h/t Eastern Daily Press), Norwich City have placed a £30m valuation on youngster Max Aarons, who is a transfer target for Manchester United.
A product of the Norwich City youth academy, Aarons has grown into a pivotal member of the first-team over the past three years. Having played a key role in their promotion to the top-flight in 2018/19, he was one of the few positives for the Canaries in the Premier League.
Having dropped back to the Championship, Aarons has once again enjoyed a hugely positive campaign in 2020/21, contributing with a goal and three assists in 38 league games as Norwich look set for a return to the top tier. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Aarons’ growth at Norwich over the past few years has seen him gather a lot of admirers including Manchester United. As per the aforementioned report, even Serie A giants AS Roma have also entered the race to sign Aarons.
And, amidst the rising interest in the right-back, Norwich have placed a valuation of £30m on the 21-year-old England youth international.
With no proper cover for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the right-back slot, Manchester United could certainly do with someone like Aarons in the squad. More so, with Diogo Dalot’s future at the club uncertain after he was loaned out to AC Milan last summer.
