Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides Marcus Rashford injury update
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford could recover from his injury in time for international duty. The England international was named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the WC Qualifiers this week but has been out with an injury.
Rashford was a huge miss for Manchester United’s loss against Leicester City but the forward had been struggling with an injury he seemed to have picked up during the Manchester derby. He played just 45 minutes in the midweek game against AC Milan.
However, he has been scheduled to link up with the national squad, who are to play Albania, Poland and San Marino. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave an update on his injury and felt that Rashford would be able to participate in the games for England.
“No, he wasn’t close [to playing against Leicester]. We took him off and he thought he’d be ready but, yesterday, he had no chance of walking on his foot. The scans show there’s an injury there… the doctor will speak to the English FA but I think he’ll travel and report. Maybe he’ll be fit for them.”

Rashford has blown hot and cold this season because he has been struggling with injury. However, any surgery would mean time away from the field, something which he is not keen on at this time. It remains to be seen what Rashford does because he clearly looks a bit off due to the niggling this season.
