The UEFA Europa League quarter-final draw sees Manchester United face Granada
A report by Sky Sports mentions the UEFA Europa League quarter-final draw in full as Manchester United draw Spanish side, Granada.
The Red Devils will take on the La Liga side, who are in their first-ever European campaign. The two legs of the quarter-finals will take place on April 8th and April 15th.
United saw off Serie A giants AC Milan by a slender 2-1 aggregate scoreline on Thursday. And their reward for it is drawing Granada, who currently sit 8th in the La Liga table.
But as much as United would be considered favourites for the tie, Granada should not be underestimated. The La Liga minnows lost just one game in the group stages and saw off Italian giants Napoli in the last-32 stage.
United have a tricky semi-final draw
They came away with a 3-2 aggregate victory against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s former side, Molde, to earn their place in the quarter-final. United last won the competition in 2017 under current Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho.
Spurs have been eliminated, leaving United and Arsenal as the only two English sides in the last-8 of the UEL. The draws for the semi-final were also made along with the quarter-final.
If the Red Devils are to go through, they will face the winner of AFC Ajax vs AS Roma in the semi-final. United have had memorable encounters with both sides in the past and will be looking to add another trophy to their cabinet this time.
The first leg of the semi-final takes place on April 29 while the return leg will be held on May 6. Here is the full Europa League quarter-final and semi-final draw.
