Solskjaer shares what he thinks about Harry Maguire shouting at Manchester United teammates
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was speaking to BBC 5 Live (h/t Metro) after Manchester United beat West Ham United, and he mentioned that Harry Maguire was right in screaming instructions to his teammates.
The United captain was heard shouting F****** tidy up, stop giving the f****** ball away” at right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka after the former Crystal Palace made a couple of errors in a row.
The game was dominated by United as they launched a plethora of attacks at the Hammers defence. Their efforts finally bore fruit in the 53rd minute when Craig Dawson headed into his own net to hand United the lead.
And the Red Devils managed to hang on to a crucial win in the race for a top-4 finish. Solskjaer commented that Maguire’s shouting helped the team as they needed to be on their toes.
“They all needed it. Either digging out or calming down. Maybe it was more calming down because I know the attitude was there. We wanted so much to recover from what happened on Thursday night, with the last-minute equaliser from Milan, and the attitude was spot on – just calm down and trust yourselves.”
All in good spirit
Solskjaer mentioned that he wanted his attack to be more clinical. But the Norwegian sought comfort in the fact that the defence was good and Dean Henderson did not make a single save.
This is not the first time that Maguire has been heard screaming expletives to his teammates. Just a few days back, he and Marcus Rashford engaged in a verbal spat on the pitch.

But if United are not losing and the players get along well with each other, then this does not seem like anything to be worried about.
