Manchester United are scouting Edmond Tapsoba
According to Express, Manchester United have been closely monitoring the progress of Bayer Leverkusen starlet Edmond Tapsoba.
The Red Devils were asked to keep tabs on the youngster from a well-reputed source in Germany. There are two more unnamed Premier League clubs who are scouting the youngster, along with Manchester United.
Tapsoba started out in his homeland Burkina Faso before making way to Europe in 2017, joining Portuguese outfit Leixoes where he spent six months before moving to Vitoria Guimaraes.
Leverkusen snapped up the defender from Vitoria Guimaraes for a sizable fee in January last year, which could rise even further. The German side were impressed by his ball-playing skills at such a young age. He is now one of the first names on the team sheet, missing only two games this season.
It is believed that Tapsoba has a release clause of around £44m in his contract and Leverkusen are not willing to budge on that. Manchester United have been told to scout the 22-year-old by a well-respected figure in Germany, given the progress he has made since coming to Europe.
