Nani has a surprising take on Paul Pogba and his Manchester United future
Speaking to Stats Perform News (h/t The Express), former Manchester United star Nani has chipped in with his views on the Paul Pogba transfer saga.
The 27-year-old looked set to leave the club following comments by his agent Mino Raiola last summer. However, there have been reports of late that indicate that the Frenchman may well stay put at Old Trafford.
While Pogba’s future at the club is far from clear, it is difficult to argue against the fact that he is having his best run of form for some time now.

Raiola’s comments saw Pogba raise his game, establishing himself as undroppable. An injury sustained against Everton last month has seen him ruled out with an injury. He has not played since.
“At this moment, I see him as one of the important players at Man United.”
Nani believes Pogba has to do more if he is serious about staying put at United. He believes the 27-year-old is one of the club’s top players but still has much more to offer.
“We know Pogba can do much better, he can do much more because he is a top player in this position. He’s not using all his strength, all his qualities.”

Nani also is uncertain if Pogba’s focus is on the team. A strange claim considering the Frenchman has been one of our best players since December.
Pogba is recovering but is still some way away from returning to action. If Nani is to be believed an upsurge in form upon his return could indicate his intent to stay put at the club.
“If he wants to stay at the club, for sure he will perform much better very soon.”
