David Beckham believes Manchester United are in good hands under Solskjaer

According to the Express, Manchester United legend, David Beckham has praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his management of the club and believes they are on the right track.

The Norwegian took over from Jose Mourinho in December 2018 and was later awarded a full-time contract. He has, to his credit, brought stability but is yet to win silverware.

Beckham, however, believes that the club is on the right track. The Red Devils got off to a poor start this season but have since rallied to rapidly rise up the table.

Having spoken to Solskajer recently, Beckham appears to be satisfied in the direction the club is heading.

“Ole has done really well, he is loved by the fans and the players.”

United looked lost and toothless in the final days of Mourinho’s reign. Admittedly we still do at times. Thankfully it does not occur too often these days.

What Solskjaer has done is bring back hope to a side that has sorely lacked it. As someone who has been part of numerous title-winning United squads, Beckham understands it all too well.

“He is respected because of what he has done in his career and even in difficult times he has performed and given everyone at United hope.”

The former teammates also shared a light-hearted moment where Beckham called his former teammates ‘boss’. An apt title considering the Norwegian has been in management for about a decade.

“I wished him a happy birthday the other day and called him boss. He doesn’t call me that – but I might ask him to.”

While he himself is not a manager, Beckham is the principal owner of the MLS side Inter Miami.

More Manchester United News

United will probably need a miracle to overcome Manchester City’s healthy lead over us. While the title may be out of reach, the Europa League and FA Cup are still up for grabs.

All the support Solskjaer has received counts for nothing if he once again ends a season trophyless. United have not won an honour since the 2017 Europa League victory.
