Boost for Manchester United as Borussia Dortmund open to selling Jadon Sancho

According to BILD (h/t Daily Star), Manchester United have been handed a chance to sign long-term target Jadon Sancho next summer. Borussia Dortmund are reportedly open to the idea of letting Sancho leave after this season.

Manchester United were after the 20-year-old throughout last summer but were dissuaded in the end by Dortmund’s £108m valuation. The Red Devils deemed the price too high given the pandemic scenario. While United did end up signing the talented Amad Diallo, interest in Sancho still remains.

Sancho has recovered from his early-season slump to produce fantastic numbers again, scoring 9 goals and assisting 14. Another Dortmund youngster that is being eyed by United is Erling Haaland. The striker has also impressed since his move to Germany.

The report suggests that Dortmund are more inclined to keep a hold of Erling Haaland more than Sancho. The former City star is valued at £104m and the club are willing to cash in on the player next season.

That surely comes as a huge help to Manchester United who are keen on bringing the Englishman back to the Premier League.
