Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pleased with Manchester United star Daniel James for adding the X-factor against Real Sociedad
Speaking to BT Sport (h/t Metro), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was effusive in his praise for Manchester United winger Daniel James for his performance against Real Sociedad.
The Welshman was given a rare start in Turin and repaid Solskjaer’s faith in him by scoring on the night. He also laid off an assist in what was a convincing 4-0 win.
The performance will come as encouragement for the 23-year-old who has of late been making full use of his opportunities. This has not been overlooked by his manager who is keeping a track on the player’s progress.
Solskjaer praised the Welshman’s decision-making and recent form. James has scored five goals in his last eight games, more than what he scored in his previous 50 appearances. (h/t Transfermarkt)

An extremely quick player, James has at times appeared one dimensional. He is now showing the development and is reaping the benefits of it.

Solskjaer admitted that James continues to be in contention and is committed to improving his game.
“Dan has always been in my mind. He’s always in contention.”
