Arsene Wenger agrees with David Moyes regarding Manchester United target Jack Grealish

Manchester United were linked with a move for Jack Grealish in January and last summer as well. However, it came to nothing and he stayed put at Villa Park.

It appears we missed out on a gem. The Aston Villa skipper has since stepped up his game and is now amongst the best midfielders in the league.

Speaking on beIN Sports (h/t The Express), it is a sentiment shared by both Arsene Wenger and former United boss David Moyes.

“I like Jack Grealish. He has mastered [how to play] slow and quick.”

One of the finest managers to take the field this century, Wenger has a keen eye for talent and has unearthed some of the best players in Arsenal’s history. In Grealish, he has identified a player capable of going the distance.

“He can dribble, he has composure, he is very creative in his passing.”

Grealish also came in for effusive praise from David Moyes. The former Red Devil believes the 25-year-old is the best player in the Premier League.

While the accuracy of that statement is debatable, there is little doubt that the midfielder is right up there at the top.

An all-action midfielder, Grealish still is yet to enter his prime. He would be a smart buy for United and will immensely strengthen our midfield.

Villa are enjoying a good season and are keen to keep hold of their star man. They are ready to offer him a significant pay rise, just a year after he penned a new contract until 2025.

Whether United will return for him this summer remains to be seen.
