Harry Maguire undaunted as Manchester United seek FA Cup glory
According to The Express, Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has called upon his teammates to overcome their semifinal stigma and bring back silverware to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have so far made it to four major semifinals under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, they have been unable to win any of it, much to their dismay.
United left it until extra-time to see off West Ham in FA Cup fifth round on Tuesday. With the team just three wins away from glory, Maguire is keen for them to drive home the advantage.
“We have to start winning trophies at this club.”
While making it to the last four is an achievement, it means scant little for a club of United’s stature.
“Last season it was disappointing to lose in the semi finals that we did but we have got to win trophies and we have to demand that of each other.”
He has called upon his teammates to look to one another and raise their game when the situation demands. While our Premier League title challenge looks to be slipping away, there is still hope in the FA Cup and the Europa League.
Home comforts!
United have so far impressed in the FA Cup and have looked the real deal. Maguire is not concerned about who they have to face next as long as the tie is at home.
“Home would be ideal but we will take what comes – we fancy our chances against anyone.”

Given the position of strength we are in right now, United can have no excuses if they end the season empty-handed. Qualifying for the Champions League is well and good but counting it akin to a trophy will only breed mediocrity.
