Aaron Wan-Bissaka targetting Premier League glory with Manchester United
Speaking to Sky Sports, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has claimed that he is keen to win the English Premier League title with Manchester United.
One of the first names in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI, the 24-year-old has played his part in making us title challengers this season. The Red Devils are currently the closest challengers to league leaders Manchester City.
Wan-Bissaka did not necessarily have the best start to the season. He has, however, stepped up his game since and is now a key cog.
“Of course, [winning the Premier League is the target], and a few cups to go with that as well.”
The defender’s aim isn’t just limited to the Premier League. He is keen to win all the trophies that he can and once again make United a dominant force on the pitch.
“It would mean a lot, especially after the club’s history of winning trophies, and a lot of them. It would be good to get back to that.”
Despite showing much promise, Solskjaer is yet to lead United to a trophy. He has led the club to four major semifinals so far, only to lose all of them. Hopefully, he will break the duck sooner rather than later.
Picking themselves up!
United have experienced a blip of late, dropping points in two of their last three Premier League games. Wan-Bissaka reveals that it has done little to tarnish the confidence and unity in the team.
“The team spirit is still high, as long as we stick together, we can go back to the form we had before.”
Wan-Bissaka opened the scoring for United against Southampton last time out. What followed was a 9-0 rout that showcased United remain a force to be reckoned with.
