Joshua King still wants a move to Manchester United amid West Ham United transfer links
Swedish outlet Sporten (h/t Manchester Evening News) states that Bournemouth striker Joshua King is still keen on a return to Manchester United despite West Ham United transfer links.
A report by Daily Mail mentions that West Ham United are interested in the former United striker as a replacement for Sebastian Haller, who was sold for £20million in this window.
On top of that, the Norwegian striker was recently linked with a move within the Premier League to fellow English clubs Everton and Burnley.
However, it is said that the 29-year-old still ‘dreams’ of a move to Old Trafford. He was, of course, a player at United in the past. (h/t Manchester Evening News)
A good option?
King was signed by the club from Norwegian team Valeranga in 2008. He never quite made it at the club and was sold 5 years later to Blackburn Rovers.
The striker then sealed a move to his current club, Bournemouth, in the summer of 2015. United were even interested in re-signing the striker in the last window.
The club had a £20million bid rejected by the Cherries for King. United don’t really have a need for a striker. Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Edinson Cavani, and Mason Greenwood make for a potent frontline.
However, King is a true No.9 who could slot in well in the team. While he may not be a starter, he would definitely increase the depth up front for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

There are, of course, no reports to state that the Red Devils are still after the striker in January, Nevertheless, if United do move for him, he could go on to become a valuable squad player for the team.
