Paul Pogba remains determined to leave Manchester United in the summer
According to the Express, Paul Pogba remains determined to leave Manchester United in the summer.
The Frenchman has upped his game since Mino Raiola’s comments regarding his future at the club back in January. He has played his role in the club rising up the table and emerge as genuine title challengers.
This good run of form has done little to stem Pogba’s decision to leave in the summer. United for their part are keen to secure £75million from prospective buyers.
One of the world’s best players on his day, Pogba’s return to United has been a mixed bag. The Frenchman has put in some game-winning performances but has also looked as effective as a porous spoon at times.
The 27-year-old has been linked with an exit twice in the past. He was denied a move to Barcelona in 2018 and also a move to Real Madrid a year later.
With his contract set to expire in 2022, United will be risking much if they cannot sell off the player in the summer. The prospect of losing our record signing for a free makes no financial sense whatsoever.
Pogba is not short of suitors. The likes of Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG are all keeping tabs on the Frenchman’s situation.
So far this term, the 27-year-old has two goals and three assists in 21 games in all competitions. While they are not exactly impressive numbers, his form on the pitch has been effective. (h/t Transfermarkt)
