Manchester United could see the return of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus
Manchester United are being linked with an incredible move for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Christian Martin (h/t ESPN).
Ronaldo is considered as one of the greatest footballers ever and left Old Trafford for Real Madrid in 2009. He was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson from Sporting Lisbon and won several titles during his six-year stay here.
The 35-year-old won three Premier League titles and a Champions League with the Red Devils before leaving for Spain.
He won multiple titles there too before embarking on a new journey in Italy. While Ronaldo has lifted the Serie A title twice, he is yet to win the Champions League with them.
However, his Italian journey could be coming to an end with United trying to strike a deal with Juventus.
The report adds that Ronaldo could leave the Italian giants due to their financial problems. Juventus could also negotiate with the Red Devils if Ronaldo expressed a desire to leave (h/t ESPN).
Time for a return?
Ronaldo might be 35 but the Portuguese star is still scoring for fun. The Portugal international doesn’t need an introduction and would make our attack a force to be reckoned with.
A forward line featuring Ronaldo, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford is scary for the opposition. Add the flair and passing range of Bruno Fernandes, and we could have one of the best attacks in world football.
The only issue in all this could be the price point. They spent £99.2m (h/t BBC) to land Ronaldo from Real Madrid, and it will be interesting to see how much they would want for the Portugal international.
