Porto boss Sergio Conceicao admits Alex Telles could leave amidst Manchester United interest
According to the Daily Star, Porto manager Sergio Conceicao has opened up on the future of Manchester United target Alex Telles.
The Brazilian full-back looks to be on his way to Old Trafford after United missed out on Sergio Reguilon to Tottenham Hotspur.
The 27-year-old will cost a relatively modest £18million. Currently in the final year of his contract, Porto are keen to cash in rather than lose him for free next summer. (h/t Daily Star)
Speaking of Telles potentially leaving Conceicao admits that iit remains a possibility. With the window set to close on October 5th, it remains to be seen if United get a mvoe on in negotiations.
“I don’t think about it, the market is not about me.”
The Porto boss has also praised Telles’ professionalism as he continues to train with the Portuguese giants.
The player himself was coy when asked about his future. Telles admitted that his attention is solely focussed on the pitch and will continue to give his best for the team he plays.
“I have people who take care of that and I have to focus on my work.”
The full-back played a key role as Porto opened their season with a 3-1 win over Braga last week. He scored twice from the spot as the defending champions won 3-1.
