Coventry City, Huddersfield Town to battle for James Garner
According to Football Insider (h/t Coventry Live), Manchester United youngster James Garner is being chased by Championship clubs Huddersfield Town and Coventry City.
A product of the club’s youth academy, Garner made his first-team debut for Manchester United in February last year, aged 17. Till date, the 19-year-old has gone on to feature seven times for the senior team.
A defensive midfielder by trade, Garner has been tipped for a bright future at the club. However, given the plethora of options at manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s disposal, it is unlikely that he would receive regular game time at Old Trafford.
Thus, the club are actively looking to loan him out for the 2020/21 season. And as per the report, Coventry City, who are back in the Championship after winning League One, have now entered the race to sign the midfielder on loan.
They will, however, will have to stave off competition from fellow Championship side Huddersfield Town, who are also keen on taking the midfielder on loan for the upcoming campaign. (h/t Coventry Live)
Huddersfield Town might just have the slightest of advantages, having already signed Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira on a season-long loan. (h/t BBC)

Matej Kovar, too, has left the club for a temporary stint at Swindon Town. It now remains to be seen where Garner ends up this summer.
