PSG and Everton keen on Diogo Dalot

According to Portuguese publication O Jogo (h/t Daily Mail), Manchester United star Diogo Dalot could be on his way out this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain and Everton keen on signing him.

Dalot, 21, joined Manchester United from FC Porto in the summer of 2018. However, the Portuguese has failed to take off at Old Trafford, with constant injuries holding him back.

The signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace last summer impacted his game time further. And the fact that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferred Timothy Fosu-Mensah over him in the final phase of the season seems to indicate that the youngster might not have a future at United.

Solskjaer is looking to free up squad space and generate some funds by player sales this summer. And Dalot could be one among those who could be shown the exit door. (h/t Daily Mail)

And as per the report, both PSG and Everton are lining up a move for the Portuguese full-back. The French champions, who are in the Champions League final, lost Thomas Meunier on a free transfer, and need a replacement.

Everton, on the other hand, are eyeing Dalot as the long-term replacement of first-choice right-back and captain Seamus Coleman. (h/t Daily Mail)

Dalot, upon arrival, showed a lot of potential. However, injuries haven’t helped his cause. Nevertheless, having him in the squad as we embark on a busy season would be sensible.

Moreover, considering that Fosu-Mensah hardly made an impression in his handful of appearances. But the club seems to have decided to offload the Portuguese. It now remains to be seen where he ends up this summer.
