Twitter reacts as Manchester United 2020/21 Premier League fixture list is released
According to the club’s official site, Manchester United will open their 2020/21 Premier League campaign at home against Crystal Palace.
Although the season kicks off on September 12, United take to the field a week later on the 19th. This delay is courtesy of our Europa League campaign that only came to an end earlier this week.
Our second game is away to Brighton before the first big clash of the season. It will see us face former boss Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur side at Old Trafford in October.
The clashes against Liverpool will only takeplace in 2021. We face them at Anfield on Janaury 16 before the reverse fixture on May 1.
The Manchester Derby will take place at Old Trafford on 12 Decemeber and the Etihad on 6 March.
Our final home game of the season is against newly-promoted Fulham on 15 May. The final game of the season will see us travel to the Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
A number of United fans took to Twitter to comment on the fixture list. We take a look at what a few of them said below.

If we don’t sign some players I genuinely don’t see us making top 6-7. That fixture list is fucking awful by the way, Burnley away on the opening game and Wolves away on the final day.

I guess this fixtures will motivate you to buy players now

No signings as of yet. Then we look at October. 🙃
— Dom (@MANUTD_DOM) August 20, 2020
PL taking this piss by scheduling Spurs Chelsea and Arsenal all home in October which means it will probably be behind closed doors as its early in the season but for the return games their stadiums will probably be full 🤦♂️
— WY MUFC 🔴 (@ManUtdTickets20) August 20, 2020
Decent fixture list apart from Wolves on the final day.

*sighs*

• Chelsea and Arsenal consecutive weeks ffs
• Chelsea and Man City again consecutive weeks smh
Our fixtures are fairly balanced with almost no difficult opponents played back to back. If we know what we are doing, we should clinch the title but oh I forgot, it’s Manchester United 🤦🏾♂️

I’m not even concerned anymore. The fixture congestion is gonna hit us bad. Sooner or later the fans turn on the coach and want him sacked.
