Andreas Pereira set to depart from Manchester United
According to a report from Brazilian outlet Espore Interativo (h/t Metro), Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is headed for an exit from the club this summer.
The 24-year-old Pereira has been with United since 2012, having joined the club’s youth setup from PSV Eindhoven. And while he made his first-team debut way back in 2014, the Brazilian has had to bide his time to become a regular.
After a couple of loan spells away at Granada and Valencia, Pereira has been regularly used in the senior side over the past couple of years. In fact, the 24-year-old was a regular starter for us in the first half of the 2019/20 campaign.
However, that has changed since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January. That, coupled with Paul Pogba’s return to full fitness has meant Pereira’s game time has taken a serious hit over the past couple of months.
Indeed, the Brazilian international made just two substitute appearances in the Premier League post-restart. As a result, he has his heart set on a departure from Old Trafford, in search of regular first-team football. (h/t Metro)
The report claims that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tried to convince Pereira to stay at the club despite his reduced game time. However, Pereira seemingly has made his mind up and is ‘in the process’ of securing an exit.

Pereira is courting interest from former loan club Valencia. In addition, there are a number of other Spanish and Portuguese clubs lining up to sign him. (h/t Metro)
Pereira has scored two goals and assisted four more in 40 matches this season. The Brazilian has three years left on his current contract. It remains to be seen if his wishes of an exit are granted or not.
