Borussia Dortmund extend deadline for Manchester United to complete Jadon Sancho deal

According to German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten (h/t Express), Borussia Dortmund have given Manchester United until August 20 to meet their demands for Jadon Sancho.

The English wonderkid has emerged as United’s top target this summer window. The Germans had initially been keen to wrap up any deal by August 10 so that they can focus on their pre-season. (h/t Express)

Personal terms between Sancho and United have already been agreed on. According to the report, he will pen a five-year contract worth around £350,000-a-week.

The only point of contention remains the transfer fee. Dortmund have placed a mammoth £108m price tag on their star asset. United, however, are not ready to pay the figure upfront. (h/t Express)

The Red Devils intend to make a down payment of around £70m with the rest made up of installments and add-ons. (h/t Express)

With the time frame extended, United officials now have enough time to get the deal over the line. Sancho is just the tip of the iceberg of what could be a busy window for the club.
