Jesse Lingard hopeful Jadon Sancho will join Manchester United
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has joined the roar for Jadon Sancho to join Manchester United.
The 20-year-old has emerged as a priority target for United ahead of the summer transfer window. He will, however, not come cheap with Borussia Dortmund placing a £100m asking price on his head.
Lingard has a first-hand idea of Sancho’s capabilities having played alongside him at the international level. He believes Sancho will be a brilliant addition to an evolving United side.
“Jadon is a brilliant player. It is obviously up to him. I’ve seen him with England, I’ve seen his qualities and I feel like he’d be a great addition to any team.”
United’s front three of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, and Anthony Martial have struck up an excellent understanding. They have also scored a bucket load of goals to rival any frontline in the league.
The addition of Sancho will help elevate the trio to another level. It will also give us enough options to rotate key players over the course of a long season.
Fatigue has been evident in recent weeks as United experience a dip in form. It is essential that we have both the quality and the quantity to compete on multiple fronts.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified a right-winger as a priority this summer. There are few better options in the market than the English wonderkid.
“It’s definitely exciting to watch him become the player he’s becoming. Hopefully we can all play together, that would be good.”
