Manchester United to offload six stars to accommodate Jadon Sancho
According to the Telegraph, Manchester United could part ways with six players to fund a summer transfer spree.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to strengthen certain areas of his squad and push on from the promise shown this season.
According to the report, the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Diogo Dalot, Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, and Chris Smalling could all be on their way out.
Not that United would miss much. Three of the six are out on loan while the rest have played a supporting role if any. It is difficult to see us struggle without any of them.
Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho is the club’s preferred target. Solskajer is also keen to bring in a centre-back, with the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly amongst those linked.
United have enjoyed an excellent spell of late in front of the goal. Despite that, a centre-forward remains on the agenda in order to reduce the burden on our front three.
The coronavirus pandemic has not spared the club’s finances. The only way we can splurge like we did last summer is to sell the deadwood.
Of the lot, Sanchez could prove the hardest to sell given his huge salary. The Chilean has also failed to put on a good show at Inter and has seen his value plummet over the last couple of years.
Smalling and Rojo, on the other hand, have enjoyed their spells, with the former especially rebuilding his reputation in Roma.
West Ham United could be the next destination for both Jones and Lingard. The Hammers are monitoring the situation of the duo who are now surplus to requirements.

The club has shown enough promise to suggest that they can push off, provided the right players are brought in.
Decisions have to be taken and fringe players have to be moved out to bring in those who can play a bigger role. We cannot afford to stay still while the likes of Chelsea continue to strengthen.
