Manchester United make a bid for Milan Skriniar

According to Tuttosport via Sport Witness (h/t MEN), Manchester United have made an offer for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

United are currently on a 17-match unbeaten run. This has been fuelled by a free-flowing attack that has been racking up the goals.

Despite our new-found attacking verve, the club has still shown a susceptibility to be found wanting at the back. This has seen us get linked to the Nerazzurri ace.

Skriniar has been excellent at the Serie A club since moving there in 2017. The 25-year-old has played 36 league games this season and even played in the Champions League for the Milan giants.

Although the likes of Victor Lindelof have improved, his errors still leave a sour taste. The club needs to bring in a dependable player to star alongside Harry Maguire.

According to the report, Inter are willing to sell the player after he failed to adapt to Antonio Conte’s three-man backline. This has seen his price drop, which United are looking to take advantage of. The Red Devils have made an offer of €65m for the player.

A number of clubs are keeping tabs on the defender and could stand in our way of acquiring him. This includes European big hitters such as Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

According to MEN, United are not prioritizing the signing of a defender this summer. The club’s focus appears to be in other areas. It remains to be seen if that is indeed the case.
