Harry Maguire trolls Aaron Wan-Bissaka for Aston Villa gaffe
Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire showed off his lighter side as he trolled teammate Aaron Wan-Bissaka for his miss against Aston Villa.
The duo was at hand to ensure a clean sheet as United waltzed to a 3-0 triumph. The win took us to within a point of 4th-placed Leicester City.
However, Wan-Bissaka could have got his name on the scoresheet had he kept his eyes open. At least, that is what Maguire believes he should have done.
The defender took to Instagram to post a message on a job well done. Maguire, however, was having none of it and gave his teammate some sage advice to do better next time.
We can’t fault the skipper’s logic here. One cannot score if they can’t see the ball. To do that, Wan-Bissaka should keep his eyes open.
Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba all got on the scoreboard as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side made it 17 consecutive games unbeaten.
United will get an opportunity to extend that run when they take on Southampton on Monday night.
The signing of Fernandes has proven to be an inspired decision. He has brought in imagination and ingenuity, and has also raised the game of those around him.
