Gary Neville credits four stars for Manchester United turnaround

Speaking on the Sky Sports podcast (h/t MEN), former Manchester United skipper Gary Neville has credited four players for the club’s upturn in form.

The quartet of Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Paul Pogba have all come for praise from Neville. (h/t MEN)

Currently, on a 17-game unbeaten streak, the Red Devils have given themselves a real shot at making the top four.

Three of the quartet were on the scoresheet at Villa Park as United made easy work of a struggling Aston Villa side. It was a throwback to the days of old when Untied turned up and were expected to win.

“Manchester United are playing with confidence, arrogance, particularly against teams that are in the lower end of the table, teams they have struggled to break down in the past,.”

While the front three have been scoring for fun, Bruno Fernandes has injected life into a flagging attack. French World Cup winner Paul Pogba too has benefitted from the addition of Fernandes into the squad.

Now looking a player reborn, the Frenchman too was on the scoresheet against Villa. Although United are on the rise, Neville is under no illusion as to the team’s limitations. (h/t MEN)

“They are still not there in terms of Manchester City and Liverpool, that is where they need to get to, but they are on an upward trajectory and are certainly looking a lot better than they were.”

Nemanja Matic and Anthony Martial too came for praise from Newville. The duo have stepped up their game following the restart and have done justice to the faith shown in them. (h/t MEN)
