Bruno Fernandes equals incredible Cristiano Ronaldo achievement
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has enjoyed an excellent start to life at the club.
Not only has he continued to score and assist but has also raised the game of those around him. The likes of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba look like players reborn as United surge up the table.
With one eye-catching performance after another on show, the Portuguese star has picked up his second straight Premier League Player of the Month award.
According to the Daily Star, the last player to win the award in consecutive months was United hero Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese sensation achieved that milestone in November and December 2006.
The fact that Fernandes done so in his first three months at the club is an incredible achievement.
Fernandes has scored eight goals and seven assists in 15 appearances so far for the club. He also scored against Aston Villa and does not show any signs of slowing down.
The United star had earlier commented that he aspires to emulate Ronaldo both on and off the pitch. (h/t Daily Star)
“You need to know that when you come and join a team like this, you have to focus on winning titles. Titles are the most important thing. It doesn’t matter how you play but you have to play to win.”
By the looks of it, he is off to a great start.
