Victor Osimhen waiting for Manchester United or Arsenal to make a bid

According to Football Italia (h/t Express), Lille striker Victor Osimhen has opened up the possibility of moving to Manchester United or Arsenal.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful season in France. He scored 18 goals and 6 assists in 38 games before the season came to an abrupt end due to the coronavirus pandemic. (h/t Transfermarkt)

The Nigerian was expected to complete a move to Italian giants Napoli. According to the report, that is in question now, with him waiting for an offer from the English Premier League.

The report goes on to add that the Super Eagle is unhappy at his agent for overstepping. He feels pressured after his agent negotiated with the Italians without consulting him.

Osimhen’s performances have seen a number of teams step up and take notice. The likes of Liverpool and Chelsea have also been linked to the player. (h/t Express)

Still just 21, he will fit in with our policy of signing young players with high a ceiling. Osimhen has the experience of playing in the Champions League and even scored against Chelsea and Valencia.

United currently possess one of the most dynamic front three in England. The likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood have developed a positive synergy that has transcended into goals.

Adding Osimhen to that mix will make it almost unfair. The youngster still has some iron edges to smoothen out but his raw potential is undeniable. He can be moulded into a potent weapon by the right manager.
